A strong Irish presence was felt at the largest UK LEGO show, BRICK 2015, in the ExCeL, London, which took place the weekend of 11th-13th December.
One of the stars of the show was Jessica Farrell's fantastic model of the Royal Theatre in London. It's a stunning building, but Jessica cleverly left one side open to show the beautifully detailed interior and the performance taking place. See more photos of the model here.
Next to this was David Fennell's model of the Convention Centre, Dublin (CCD), which also has a side open, showing an audience of Stormtroopers taking part in a Star Wars convention. Surrounding this is the Royal Canal, with scenes of Dublin streets, including buses and trams. You cen see more photos in David's Flickr album.
Also present was Star Fortress, and imaginary British naval fort, built by by Paul Derrick.
Another Brick.ie display was Ronald and Ruth Vallenduuk's Dutch railway station and surroundings.
Markus Rollbühler, a Brick.ie member from Germany, displayed his very clever models of a hummingbird, and Captain Hook, in a sticky situation with his old adversary.
Brick.ie members James Shields and Fionna O'Sullivan collaborated with some UK LEGO fans to build an enormous diorama of the Battle of Hoth from The Empire Strikes Back, featuring three gigantic AT-AT Walkers, and the interior of the rebel base built by James and Fionna. More photos on Flickr.
There are lots more photos from the whole event in LostCarPark's Flickr Album.
