Privacy and the GDPR

The information below is provided for compliance of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

How we collect your data

The data we hold about you is that which you have entered yourself: in your profile page, your posts and replies in the forum, and so on. No other data, including IP addresses, is stored.

Why we collect your data

In order to become a member of Brick.ie, and take part in LEGO® User Group activities, you need to register an account and provide some information about yourself. We endeavour to ensure that the information requested is necessary for processing your membership, and not excessive.

When we'll share your data

Some minimal membership statistics, but no individual data, is shared with the LEGO® group of companies for the purpose of the Registered LEGO® User Group (RLUG) programme. In addition, if you opt to participate in the LUGBulk programme, Brick.ie will be asked to validate your membership and that you are over 18 years old after you register with LEGO®. Brick.ie does not share your data with any other company or person.

How we'll protect your information

We use regular malware and site vulnerability scanning. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks, and all access to your data is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Sensitive information is only accessible to a limited number of administrators who have special access rights to such systems. This site is offered for free, and we never ask for your credit card, and no payment information is stored on the site.

Viewing your data

You can view the data you have entered on your "My account" page.

Your right to be forgotten

If you wish to delete your account, you may do so with the "Delete" button at the bottom of the "Edit" page under "My account". Please make sure you really want to do this, as we will have no way to retrieve your account once deleted. All personal information will be deleted from your account, but forum posts will be retained, attributed to "Anonymous". If you wish to delete specific posts, you may do so before deleting your account, or you may contact us with links to the posts you feel should be deleted.
