Hi there,
I hope you don't mind this intrusion to your Friday. You receive this because you joined Brick.ie, the Irish Association for Adult Fans of Lego, and we occasionally send out emails to our members.
Brick.ie have been invited to participate in "LUGBulk". This is a programme LEGO run to allow members of user groups to purchase LEGO bricks in bulk. Generally, prices through LUGBulk will be lower than purchasing through other methods such as pick-a-brick online or BrickLink.
LUGBulk orders can be sent by associations twice a year. The bricks will be sent to the association to manage distribution to members.
There are a few rules:
The mechanics of the order work as follows:
As we must order in multiples of 50, you may not get exactly the quantities you ask for. For example, if our members want a total of 53 of a part we must either round down to 50 and leave some people short, or round up to 100 and have a large surplus. We will do our best to handle these situations fairly.
As we can only order 50 different parts, there will inevitably be some disappointment when people don't get parts they would like. Again we'll try to be fair, and make sure that everyone has an opportunity so choose some parts.
If you would like to participate, please log in to http://www.brick.ie and visit our forums. In the "Association" forum you'll find a LUGBulk Registration thread. Please post a comment there so we know you want to take part, and email us your details. You'll also see a LUGBulk Part Request thread. Please add any parts you think we should include in the order.
Even if you don't want to order anything, please consider allowing us to add you to the order, as this increases the amount we are allowed to buy as an association.
If you have any problems logging into the forum, please email and let us know, and we'll sort it out.
Thanks for reading. We hope to see you on Brick.ie.
