Brick.ie The Irish Association for Adult Fans of LEGO®

For those interested in seeing brick.ie models 'in the brick', we have two display events this autumn.

First up is a big display at the 6th Limerick Diecast Model Show in the South Court Hotel which takes place from 10.00am on Sunday 18th September only. Larger models on display at this event include MOCs of Superman's Fortress of Solitude, Clerys Department Store and the White House but there are a significant number of other models including city scenes, vehicles, including trains and tractors, mosaics and Irish buildings.

For three days over the October bank holiday weekend, a team from brick.ie will exhibit at the Model Railway Society of Ireland show in St Paul's College Raheny. The line-up for this event is still being finalised but its brick.ie's only Dublin exhibition of 2016 so it promises to be a great show.

This is our annual brick.ie members' event where we hold LEGO competitions with plenty of prizes to win.

Our next monthly meeting is scheduled for Saturday 20 August at 2pm at Nealons Pub Capel Street Dublin.

A team from brick.ie will be participating in the Limerick's 6th Diecast Model exhibition on 18 September 2016.

The Model Railway Society of Ireland host its bi-annual exhibition over the October bank holiday weekend (from 29 to 31 October 2016). A team from brick.ie will be there with members latest creations.

Our next monthly meeting is scheduled for Saturday 23 July in Nealons pub, Capel Street Dublin 1. All members welcome from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Our largest exhibition of 2016 so far is scheduled for Naas Library on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May. Similar to last year we hope schools will avail of the opportunity for a class visit on Friday where they can meet some the best LEGO builders in Ireland (places bookable via Naas library). From the last class on Friday to close of business on Saturday, the exhibition will then be open to the public.

This year's highlights include a very sizeable model of the 1916 Easter Rising complete with the GPO and Nelson's Pillar. We display for the first time in Ireland our very own LEGO Star Wars convention at the Dublin Convention Centre beside our version of Clerys Department store. Across the mezzanine, Superman hangs out in his Fortress of Solitude near where DC superheroes are having some difficulty with their Marvel(lous) neighbours. We again have lots of trains, trams and amazing detailed vehicles along with our latest city buildings.

Some brick.ie members will be participating in a local event in Carrickmacross on the Saturday of the June bank holiday weekend.

Our April meeting is scheduled for Saturday 23 April at 2pm- in Nealons Pub Capel Street Dublin. All members and new members welcome for an informal get together to chat about all things LEGO.

The Kildare county show is now scheduled for Sunday 19 June 2016. Times tbc
