Buying Lego in Ireland

Ninjago Blacksmith still in a shop somewhere?

I'm looking for the Ninjago Blacksmith set. It's only a year old but it's already gone from Smyths and Argos. Does anyone know of another shop (Tesco, Art & Hobby, Toymaster) that still has this set? Or does someone have a spare copy of this set?

Star Wars competition at Smyths - Win Jabba's Palace

Smyths have a competition with a simple question about Star Wars:

The prize to win is the new Jabba's Palace set:

LEGO shop at Home site

A little off topic but am I the only one that finds the Lego website dreadful to navigate? It looks pretty but everytime I want to click on a theme or move between themes the pop-up effect slows everything down. I have broadband and I still hate it. Such bells and whistles shouldn't be on an e-commerce site (as distinct from fan sites) where customers are at risk of walking away. I'm rather fed up with the graphics.

Any 2012 sets spotted here yet?

Apparently the 2012 sets have started surfacing in the UK, and I've got a few hundred quid on a giftcard from work to burn if they've popped up anywhere

Anyone seen some? Mostly interested in the City sets.

Series 6 minifigures now available

Just a heads up that if anyone is heading North Toys rUs at Sprucefield on the way to Belfast has the series 6 collectible minifigs in stock. Some great minifigs in the set this time around. The genie, leprechaun, butcher and surgeon are my favourites so far.

Toys R Us NI

Checked out TRU in Belfast (Sprucefield) tonight. At the current rate of the pound pretty much all sets were more expensive than in Smyths.
There were some sets I haven't seen in Smyths though. A few examples:

Fetching set 7848-1...

Fetching set 8404-1...

Fetching set 8041-1...

Fetching set 8129-1...

Padawan Menace

Just a heads up that the Blu-ray version of the 'Padawan Menace' has an exclusive Lego minifig - a young Han Solo! Its available for €10 in Tesco. The DVD version doesn't have the minifig.

Charity shop haul

My mother of all people found me a bag of assorted, heavily smashed sets, in a SVdP charity shop yesterday, consisting of most of the parts for:

8189 magma mech
8227 dragon dueller
7685 dozer
3179 repair truck
7236 police car

and a range of bits and pieces from other sets such as parts that are only in 8196 Chopper Jump and so on.

I do have to wonder what kid / AFOL tired of sets that quickly, seeing as they're mostly 2010, or was that badly behaved Eye-wink

Anyone else got a decent charity haul? I also got the previous fire boat minus about ten parts from the same shop a year or so ago.

Adverts.ie

Yet another local source for Lego is www.adverts.ie These are private sales, a bit like a mini-ebay 'buy it now' style. There is a mix of lots on here with varying quality. Obviously you'd need to compare to bricklink but postage might not be an issue.

John Lewis Lego

I've just noticed that the UK department store John Lewis is shipping internationally recently. They have a decent Lego selection although not everything is available. While there is a shipping charge if you go to the John lewis seite via Fatcheese.ie you will evetually get a 10% rebate on purchases.

Just another option for that elusive set.
