Congratulations to the team that built the beautiful model of O'Connell street 1949 with running trams and cars. They just beat us in the public vote for best in show at last weekends Dun Laoghaire Model Railway Show. Still, brick.ie was happy to come second with our mix of Dublin, Southern Germany and English fleet.
In October bank holiday weekend we'll show our stuff again, this time in Blackrock College at the South Dublin Model Railway Club Exhibition.
Join us in Jack Nealons pub in Capel street for a chat about the weather, sport, politics and possibly even plastic bricks...

Saturday June 15th we'll gather in Kildare for the first proper Brick.ie event. Food, drinks, MOCs, games... just an afternoon of Lego-fun.
The monthly meetings are in a pub but this time it will be in a private place so bringing MOCs is safe. Of course you don't have to bring something...
For the Wacky race all you need to do is bring something on wheels, the crazier the better. We'll run it down a ramp and see whose creation gets the furthest or causes the most spectacular crash!
So clear the 15th in your agenda and come up to Kildare.
And since you're in the area for the weekend anyway, why not take part in the Kildare county show the day after?
SDMRC's bi-annual exhibition at Blackrock College in Booterstown is open 11am - 5pm all three days of the bank holiday weekend.
The first annual Brick.ie event will be held on Saturday June 15th in Kildare.
This is a members-only event. Details on the forum.
