Buying Lego in Ireland

Bricks and Pieces available again

A message from LEGO® Customer Service:

Continuing on the successful updates made to LEGO.com/service for United Kingdom / English and Spain / Spanish toward the end of 2019 and opening service for India just a month ago, we’ve finished moving our Customer Service site to the same platform used by the rest of LEGO.com.

Bricks and Pieces - parts filters

A copy of Vizzitor's post in another thread - worth having its own post.

"It came up at the meeting today talking about Bricks & Pieces that there's a site someone on Eurobricks created you can use to check new parts and filter pieces a lot easier. It lists the prices and only shows what's actually in stock so you don't have to spend ages looking through new set inventories or finding the part numbers. I didn't have the address saved on my phone but now I'm at home, here's the link:

Big (but expected) changes to bricklink

SO the new T&C just went live and the part the will impact almost everyone is:

(TLDR: Not lego = not allowed, including custom printed, chromed and light kits)

newbie question: buying second hand Lego

I'm kinda getting back into the Lego thing and looking at loads of inspirational stuff on the FB groups. While i have a certain amount of Lego built up as finished models I'd like to amass a stock of Technic and normal Lego pieces to start building MOC vehicles.

My question is: where do you seasoned pros get your stock from?

I've been scouting the local charity shops and there is literally nothing to be found. Anyone on donedeal seems to think second hand sets are worth nearly as much as new sets. At the prices being asked for some sets that are still available in the shops I think I'd be better off paying the slightly more for a brand new set.

So any hints or tips for an amateur trying to build up his stock?

Question about Bricklink

Hi, Is there an easier way to get bricks off Bricklink. I really feel I am doing something wrong.

The situation is typically I compile a list of brick with quantities I start off looking for what I think maybe the rare or hard to find bricks Dark Blue Brick, Arch 1 x 8 x 2 part number 3308 for example. I then select the cheapest seller and go through my list typically anyone seller does not have my complete list. So I have to go to the next expensive seller and again go through my list one by one seeing if they have all my required bricks. If the list of required parts amounts to a 1000 different brick types this whole process can take ages and mistakes are always possible. Please don't laugh if I am doing something obviously wrong.

Thanks Jim

TLG Shipping

Hi.

A quick question.

When did TLG switch from using DHL to DPD for shipping their parcels?

I got a notification today with a tracking number and it came back to DPD's website.

VIP Rewards have changed

So the new "improved" VIP program has landed and there are more rewards to be picked up which is cool, unfortunately most of them are stupid amounts of points to redeem, want a poster? sure, just spend €750 - €4000! the mustang keyring? that'll be a spend of €1000! the super cool and rare Bat Pod? that's available and will set you back 15,000 points!

but i'm not interested in these i hear you say! just give me my money off instead and all is good and those who want the extra stuff can save for them. well bad news there too. points to cash ratio is crap now:

800 points gets you a €5/£5/$5 money off voucher that you have to request in advance via the website, no more just seeing what you can redeem at checkout by presenting your card.

this is in contrast to the 100 points gets you a fiver off in your local currency and any multiple of 100 was available to be converted to money off in what will be remembered as the good old days before lego ruined the VIP program...

RIP VIP Sad
